This is why our pricing aim to be clear, without hidden costs and hassle free.

Our eye surgery price guide below includes consultation, surgery and all of Moorfields Eye Hospital fees.  All fees are inclusive of the following aftercare: 

  • Medication –  Aftercare drops. These will be dispensed to you on the day after your procedure

  • For instance of laser vision correction there are no additional fees for re-treatments (within the first two years) and subsequent follow up visits.

Femto-LASIK, No touch LASEK & SMILE

Mr Maurino provides 2 years of aftercare for anything laser eye related, including retreatments (required in less than 2% of cases). 

Implantable Contact Lens Surgery (ICL)

Includes; Hospital fee, Mr Maurino’s fee, anaesthetist fee, ICL implants, standard post-operative medication and follow up consultation at one month.

Cataract Surgery

Includes; Hospital fee, Mr Maurino’s fee, anaesthetist fee, monofocal len implants, standard post-operative medication and follow up consultation at one month.

Refractive Lens Exchange (RLE) Surgery

Includes; Hospital fee, Mr Maurino’s fee, anaesthetist fee, monofocal len implants, standard post-operative medication and follow up consultation at one month.

Lens fees (applicable for Cataract and RLE Surgery) per lens

Vincenzo Maurino is a high experienced cataract and lens surgeon.  Some patients may be suitable for either multifocal, astigmatism (or a combination of both) correcting lenses.  He uses a range of specialist lenses to fit individual patient needs. 

  • Monofocal toric (astigmatism correcting) lenses: £550
  • Zeiss Trifocal £720
  • Zeiss Trifocal Toric £1000
  • Alcon Vivity EDoF £1000
  • Alcon Vivity Toric EDoF £1150

Information for Insured Cataract Patients

For Cataract surgery and Refractive lens Exchange (RLE) surgery, Mr Maurino offers premium lenses including Trifocal, multifocal, extended depth of focus (EDoF), monofocal plus IOL implants amongst others in an effort to reduce dependence on spectacles post-surgery. These are all available in toric formats to reduce / eliminated corneal astigmatism. In your consultation, Mr Maurino will discuss your appropriate options. Please note, premium lenses carry an addition charge.
 
For the procedures above which include a consultant anaesthetist fee, this is administered as topical anaesthetic eye drops with mild intravenous sedation to relax patients for a more pleasant experience.  On occasions, some patients may require a sub-tenon anaesthetic block around the eye, and in very occasional circumstances, a general anaesthetic is appropriate. There are no additional fees on these occasions.
